One of the last holdouts of the Xbox Series X/S era might finally be coming to the PlayStation 5, as a new leak provides a concrete release date for Starfield coming to Sony's platform.

Microsoft has been gradually diluting its brand by releasing Xbox exclusives on PlayStation and Nintendo. Fans are surprised that Starfield has remained PC & Xbox exclusive for so long, as it felt like a strong candidate to be a multiplatform title at launch, yet Bethesda's bland space opera hasn't made the light-speed jump to other consoles.

Rumors about a PS5 version of Starfield have picked up, especially with Bethesda hyping up new content for the game. At least one leaker has set a date for the theoretical PS5 launch of Starfield, with Billbil-kun of Dealabs claiming it's only a month away.

Starfield PS5 Release Date Leaks Online

According to Billbil-kun, Starfield is coming to PS5 on April 7, 2026. The game will be available in two editions: the Standard Edition at £44.99 (roughly $60) and the Premium Edition at £69.99 (roughly $95).

The pre-orders for Starfield will reportedly open on either March 17 or 18, meaning it won't be long until an official announcement is made, assuming the leaks are legit.

The question now is whether PS5 players will be interested in Starfield.

It's surprising that a Starfield PS5 port wasn't revealed during the recent Sony State of Play. It seems Sony wanted as little excitement as possible, especially with Marvel's Wolverine release date revealed in a social media post a few days later, rather than being used as a hype moment during a show with a lot of viewers.

The question now is whether PS5 players will be interested in Starfield. The game received a polarizing response at launch, but if the next content injection is any good, it might be examined in a whole new light by a fresh audience.
