The Steam Spring Sale is on, and it's a great way to stock up on some of last year's biggest games without breaking the bank. It's an even better way to round up a boatload of lesser-known indie games that you may have missed for the same price as one full-priced, big budget game. Tons of excellent indies are currently on sale, with many excellent options available for under $10.

Not sure what to pick up? It just so happens that most of the indie games that made our top 50 games of 2025 list are up to 40% off. Here's a rundown including 20 of our favorite 2025 gems that you can get for a discount until the sale ends on March 26.

Baby Steps

Baby Steps is no joke, even if it's hilarious. The deviously difficult walking simulator from the brains behind Ape Out tests your patience as you try to guide the wobbly-limbed Nate through a massive fantasy world. It's a riotously funny physical comedy, but it has a surprisingly effective story about a failson struggling with the pressures of modern masculinity. It's currently 35% off, taking the price down to $12.99, so pick it up and find out why it made our top 10 last year.

Despelote

In a year ruled by grand RPGs, the two-hour Despelote blew us away so much that it secured the #3 spot on our year-end list. You'll understand why as soon as you play it. The slice-of-life story of a kid growing up in Ecuador amid World Cup fever is an extraordinary coming-of-age story about how sports intersect with culture. You can grab it for $8.99 during the Steam Spring Sale, knocking 40% off its ususal price tag.

Promise Mascot Agency

What was the best open-world game of 2025? For my money, the answer is easily Promise Mascot Agency. The quirky game from the minds behind Paradise Killer rolls a Yakuza crime story, Forza Horizon, a mascot management sim, a card-battler, and a mayoral debate game into one eclectic experience. Its 30% price cut during the Steam Spring Sale takes the price down to $17.49, which is a fair price to pay for all the memorable zaniness Promise Mascot Agency brings.

Blippo+

Have you ever had the experience of watching TV during an all-consuming global news event? That's what Blippo+ simulates in delightfully bizarre fashion. The intergalactic channel surfing simulator simply has you watching short shows broadcast from the planet Blipp. Through those clips, you'll slowly uncover the story of a mysterious event that could change the universe as the Blippians know it. You just need to spend time with it to appreciate it, so take advantage of its 30% price reduction and grab it for $9.74. Otherwise, get bent!
