Multiple bosses call the Demon's Domain home in the Borderlands 4 Legend of the Stone Demon DLC. You have decent bosses like Bore-Tex, who drop some great loot, and then you have the more annoying bosses like Sturm & Drang.

Sturm & Drang is a duo boss, similar to bosses you might fight in some of the base game Ripper Drill Sites. They will attack you together, along with a massive group of smaller, tanky enemies.
Let's break down everything you need to know about Sturm & Drang in Borderlands 4, from their location to their loot drops.
Sturm & Drang Location
Sturm & Drang is a boss that is found in the Demon's Demon as part of the Legend of the Stone Demon DLC for Borderlands 4. Once you enter this mine, there is a specific route that you will need to take to reach this boss.
Starting from the Demonhold fast travel point, you will need to follow the main route into the large chamber to the north and follow the path to the east. From here, you will be led down one of two paths into another large chamber. This is similar to the path you take to reach Bore-Tex, and not Chisabella.
Instead of continuing the path to Bore-Tex, head west and drop down the waterfalls. There is an NPC in this area whom you can speak to.
You will be required to make your way up to the top of the next large chamber. Here, the route will split and run north to south. You will take the southern path.
If this is your first time encountering this boss, the door leading to the southern path will be shut. To open it, climb up to the hut that is just before the door to find a power core.
This will allow you to power the door and continue the route to the boss. Follow this pathway, and it will lead you directly to the boss arena.
Sturm & Drang Drops
Similar to the other optional bosses in the DLC, Sturm & Drang have two dedicated drops that you can get from fighting them. They can drop the following items:
|
Hair Trigger |
Shotgun |
Timed Charge — When you release the trigger, all projectiles fired from the weapon explode. |
|
Laser Disker |
Assault Rifle |
Shazbot — Deals 200% damage to airborne enemies. |
The first of the weapons is the Hair Trigger legendary shotgun. It has the ability Timed Charge, which causes all the projectiles from this weapon to explode whenever you release the trigger.
Considering this shotgun has 25 rounds, it can deal a lot of damage thanks to this effect. It can deal even more damage if you increase your magazine size.

The second weapon is the Laser Disker legendary assault rifle, and it has the ability Shazbot. This ability allows the weapon to deal 200% damage to airborne enemies. This is not the most useful ability, but it is great if you have an explosive build that launches enemies into the air.
Tips for Fighting Sturm & Drang
Sturm & Drang make for an annoying boss that rivals bosses like Sludgemaw and Axemaul, similarly to Chisabella. Both bosses have crystals covering their bodies that must be destroyed before you can damage their health bars.
Sturm is the hulking brute, and Drang is the spider-style enemy. Both enemies have elemental effects applied to them that leech out into the arena. While you are fighting them, Sturm will lob electric projectiles, and Drang will lob corrosive projectiles.
Both projectile types will leave pools of their respective elements on the floor of the arena, making it rather hazardous to run. Pay attention ot the floor so you aren't standing in these damaging pools.
These pools also act as a source of healing for the bosses, with Sturm being healed in electric pools and Drang being healed in corrosive pools.
Because of this, you should focus on killing one boss at a time. I recommend Sturm because he is easier to take down and will give you one less problem to deal with.
Once you have destroyed the crystals, you can use fire elemental weapons to easily take down Sturm. Drang has an armor bar that is weak to corrosive damage, but I recommend using radiation damage, as this seems to be more effective.
