Hold onto your liquor and coin purse, because the most dysfunctional fantasy heroes you've ever known are set to make a triumphant return to Prime Video this summer. A new teaser from Critical Role, Titmouse, and Amazon MGM reveals that The Legend of Vox Machina season 4 will be released on June 3. Based on the spooky shenanigans teased, it looks like these ragtag heroes will once more be saving Exandria from another evil foe.

The Legend of Vox Machina is an animated adaptation of Critical Role's live-play Dungeons & Dragons campaign. It stars the cast and founders of Critical Role, who reprise their original characters in this adaptation. Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us) returns as Pike this season, alongside Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part 2) as Vex, Taliesin Jaffe (World of Warcraft) as Percy, Liam O’Brien (Marvel’s Avengers) as Vax, Marisha Ray (Fallout 76) as Keyleth, Travis Willingham (Marvel’s Avengers) as Grog, and Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Scanlan. Matthew Mercer (Baldur’s Gate 3) also returns as various characters, reflecting his role as the original campaign's Dungeon Master.

Surprisingly, a new character set to join the gang, Taryon Darrington, will not be voiced by Riegel (who played him in the campaign) but by Wayne Brady. Other guest stars to appear in season 4 include Kevin Michael Richardson, Debra Wilson, and Tom Cardy.

While full details of what to expect from season 4 have yet to be released, we know from an exclusive sneak peek at San Diego Comic‑Con 2025 that the gang reunites a year after the events of the Chroma Conclave from season 3. Their mission: to take on an evil entity that has woken up after a long sleep and threatens to destroy the realm. Without giving any spoilers, this new foe will be familiar to both longtime and more recent D&D fans.

Season 4 of The Legend of Vox Machina will debut on June 3, with a three-episode weekly rollout on Prime Video. The show's fifth and final season has already been confirmed.
