The latest Pokémon set isn't just hitting shelves in real life: it's also coming to mobile and PC. The Darkrai-themed collection is now available in Pokémon TCG Live, the virtual version of the card game most collectors never bother to try. It's perfect for anyone who is spending the day ripping physical Pitch Black booster packs, as they all include a redeemable code for the digital game.

To mark the occasion, TCG Live's battle board comes in a new color scheme. Players who log in will be given a Mega Darkrai ex deck, as well as three new lessons to help them make the most of the new cards. In all, there are 115 new cards to collect.

Fans can also unlock a new Pitch Black accessory, or they can purchase cosmetics like the Mega Chandelure hat and shirt via the shop. Players who progress through the new Battle Pass will eventually unlock the Mega Chandelure ex deck as well. There's even a cheat sheet written by the developers to help fans with the Battle Pass.

Beyond the new cards, TCG Live is incorporating a number of new quality of life features. The Deck Editor has been revamped with filters for rarity and regulation, and there's a button that checks deck validity across game modes. The idea is to simplify and optimize deck-building.

A new season means there's a rank reset, but also more rewards to unlock, like the new Master Ball. The developers are promising events tied to the expansion in the near future.

"And lastly, when you tap on a card in the Deck Collection or Deck Panel, the selected card is highlighted," the announcement post reads.

Basically, there are many reasons to check out TCG Live right now — especially for Pokémon fans who couldn't find products at retailers this Friday.
