Vault of Vengeance Abyss puzzle walkthrough in Crimson Desert

3 hours ago 2

The Vault of Vengeance Abyss puzzle in Crimson Desert contains too many lasers for comfort. Luckily, it also contains more loot than you could possibly carry, including a particularly valuable golden sword. Besides the lasers, the main obstacle between Kliff and his gold is the marksman targets, which require a specific skill and weapon to clear.

Here's how to restore the Vault of Vengeance Abyss in Crimson Desert.

How to unlock the Vault of Vengeance in Crimson Desert

Before you head to this Abyss, beware of a few puzzle requirements: You must bring a bow with at least six arrows and unlock the Focused Shot skill. The skill requires Marksmanship level 2 and Focus level 2, and costs one abyss artifact.

To reach the Vault of Vengeance, you must pass through the skybridge that becomes available after you've restored the Secret Garden.

If you haven't reached the end of Chapter 4 in the main story yet, which involves the Scholastone Institute puzzle, defeating Tenebrum, and solving the Spire of the Stars puzzle, you must do so first. Then, following the Obsession and Madness quest at the Sanctorum of Insight Abyss, you can take the skybridge to the Secret Garden Abyss.

To enter the Vault of Vengeance in Crimson Desert, grab the two floating blue cubes using Axiom Force and place them on the stone pillars near the large doorway. As shown in the picture below, the first blue cube is to the left, a bit further into the garden, and the second is on a ledge to the right, very close to the doorway.

Next, shoot the two targets adjacent to the large doors. Once you hit a target, it'll light up, and a timer will start; the objective is to hit the other target before time runs out. Although you could hit these two with single shots in quick succession, it's easier to use Focused Shot; aim the bow, activate "Focused Shot" (press X on a keyboard or press both sticks on a controller), and select both targets before releasing the arrows.

After activating the targets, use Nature's Grasp to lift the door and enter the Vault of Vengeance.

To deactivate the lasers in the room ahead, shoot the four targets on the wall using Focused Shot. Due to the extremely brief timer, you can't activate all four targets quickly enough with normal shots.

This room is stacked with loot, so be sure to grab some before moving on. When you're ready, take the golden sword in the center of the room (this will net you a big sack of silver) and take the elevator down.

In the hallway with the moving laser beams, wait for a gap, then run, jump, and crawl through. In the picture below, for example, you could easily pass through the large gaps on the left.

At the end of the hallway, use Axiom Force to grab the blue stone and place it against the square slot on the wall. Use Force Palm to fasten it.

Step on the circular teleporter to reach the top of the Vault of Vengeance. See the massive circular pressure plate ahead? Your final objective at the Vault of Vengeance is to activate it.

Use Axiom Force to place the blue stone right in front of the empty socket on the right, then use Force Palm to push it into the socket. Now, use Force Palm on the large circular device.

Climb to the higher ledge, above the circular device, to collect the abyss artifact. From here, you can take the skybridge to the Courtyard of Precision.
