Dream Islands are an interesting mechanic in the game that allows you to see new areas and collect items not found in your starting locale. However, accessing these islands is not simple, as you need to find Pokédolls across your island.
These Pokédolls are then given to Drifloon. Only then will you be brought to these special islands. Here is everything you need to know about Dream Islands in Pokémon Pokopia.
Where to Find Drifloon
Before you can fly to Dream Islands, you will need to befriend Drifloon. This Pokémon is not available right away, but you can get it shortly after you learn the move Rock Smash.
Once you have learned Rock Smash, use it to break the rocks on the path to the left of the destroyed Pokémon Center. This will lead you to a beach where Drifloon can be found floating aimlessly.
Talk to Drifloon, and it will request that you make it a habitat near where everyone else lives. Its habitat consists of three campfires. Once it is made, tell Drifloon, and it will fly to its habitat.
The area you find Drifloon also has a cave where you can find an Onix inside.
All Pokédoll Types and How to Get Them
Pokédolls are scattered across the land in Pokémon Pokopia, with each one being hidden in a different location. These Pokédolls are hidden treasures that you will need to search for.
Treasures are represented by glowing spots on the ground. To free a treasure, you will need to use Rock Smash to break open the block and obtain the treasure.

Each of these biomes is based on the existing ones from the base region that you come from. With that being said, they are great places to travel to if you are looking for specific resources or materials.
While each of the dolls will bring you to a specific island, the substitute and Ditto Pokédolls will bring you to a random Dream Island.
Flying to Dream Islands
Now that you have obtained a Pokédoll and have unlocked Drifloon, you can begin your Dream Island journey. You can travel to a Dream Island in one of two ways.
First, you can go to Drifloon with a Pokédoll in your inventory. Doing this will allow you to ask Drifloon to take you to a Dream Island, and it will allow you to choose the Pokédoll used for the experience.
The other method is by placing the Pokédoll and interacting with it. This will prompt you to call Drifloon over to take you to a Dream Island.
