One of the most important resources you can find throughout the game is Embers. There are multiple types of these resources, with each one allowing you to upgrade your gear via enchantments.

Of course, these valuable materials are not easy to come across in the game. Let's break down some of the best ways to farm Embers in No Rest for the Wicked.

Types of Embers

No Rest for the Wicked Embers in Inventory

There are several types of Embers you can find in No Rest for the Wicked. Previously, only Fallen Embers existed, but the Together Update added more of them to the game, along with the ability to play online with your friends.

Ember

Effect

Fallen Ember

Adds enchantments to items or can be used to alter existing enchantments.

Corrupting Ember

Used to corrupt a common item with dark essence, enhancing it to Plagued rarity.

Void Ember

Used to disenchant items, returning them to common status.

Awakening Ember

Transforms a common item into a magical item.

Essence Ember

Absorbs an enchantment, allowing you to transfer it to another item.

Radiant Ember

Used to strengthen an enchantment's effect.

Sublime Ember

Used to amplify an effect on a fully enchanted item.

Each of these Ember types is useful for enhancing your gear or changing your enchantments. The most common of these Embers is the Fallen Ember, but you will get every type in the same ways.

Collecting Embers From Chests

Since the loot in No Rest for the Wicked is randomized, the best way to get Embers is by defeating enemies and opening chests. There are various large and small chests scattered around the map.

These chests will respawn after a select amount of time, allowing them to be farmed multiple times in a day. Large chests are more likely to have Embers than smaller chests, but both are important to check.

A good route to run for collecting Embers is to run a route through the Orban Glades. There are about 20 or so chests in this area that you can check for Embers, allowing you to get a good handful each time you do the circuit.

The enemies in the area also have a chance to drop Embers. When you are done here, you can also run a route through the Nameless Path, which also has a fair number of chests.

Obtaining Embers From the Crucible

You can't constantly be running around to collect chests. After all, they are set on a timer, so you can only open them once every hour or so.

When you are done running routes to collect Embers, the second-best method of obtaining them is by running the Crucible. This area is where you can battle rooms of enemies to get additional loot.

During your run, there is a room with multiple chests, as well as a boss to fight at the end. This gives you a good chance of getting Embers, but you won't be getting as many as you would from running routes around the map.
