Inventory management is, without a doubt, one of the most essential staples in Resident Evil games. Dating all the way back to the first game with The Box, and redefined once again with Resident Evil 4 with the attache case, the Resident Evil games have constantly been known for its resource management systems.

Cut to Resident Evil Requiem, where it doesn't pick between the box or attache case: instead, you get both. You get the case when you play as Leon, but you have to utilize the box when you play as Grace, which means that her inventory is a lot more limited — that is, until you get your hands on a Hip Pouch.

Hip Pouches increase Grace's inventory capacity by two squares, and there are a total of five different hip pouches that you can find, three in the Rhodes Hill Care Center, and two at ARK.

And considering how previous inventory space is in this game, these pouches are definitely a high priority on things to find and collect. If you're trying to find all possible ways you can increase your slots, we've got you covered. There's no trophy or anything for getting all space upgrades, but your lack of backtracking will thank you for it instead.

While this article will avoid spoilers for the game's story, there will be minor spoiler for some of the happenings.

All Rhodes Hill Hip Pouches

Pouch 1 — Parlor

In the Chairman's Office (where the Moon Puzzle Box is), you'll find a silver, ornate box sitting on your left of the entrance on an end table. If you pick it up and inspect it, you'll see a button on the back side of it; push the button, and you'll be given a red gem. This will be a key, so hold onto it for now.

On the way to the Kitchen, you'll pass by the Parlor, which you can use the red gem to unlock the door and slip inside (especially if you're trying to hide from the Butcher). In the Parlor, you'll find a handful of antique coins, a roulette wheel that you can play with, and four different locked cases, each containing a different yet equally useful item.

In one of these cases, we'll find our first Hip Pouch, which requires antique coins that you have to spend in order to obtain it. If you notice that you're short on coins, don't worry, you can go to any of the various safes that are locked up in Rhodes Hill, and you can get a ton of coins that way. In the care center, each safe should have around four antique coins that you can use at the Parlor.

Thankfully, the Hip Pouch only costs three antique coins, so you can use the rest of what you find on any of the other lockers (especially now that you have the room for it).

Pouch 2 — Filing Room

In order to get the next hip pouch in Rhodes Hill, you'll need to have already obtained the Level 1 Clearance Wristband so that way you can unlock the door it's hidden behind. If you don't have it, go grab it — it's located in the hallway between the Conference Room and the Lead Researcher's Office, attached to a corpse on the floor.

After you get the wristband, head over to the Filing Room (on the way to the Cold Storage room), take care of the zombie that's made its way inside, and in that room is a door that's locked until you use the wristband on it. Open the door, step inside, and the Hip Pouch is in your immediate line of sight on top of the drawers.

The pouch is also right next to a warped wooded wardrobe (talk about a tongue twister) that you can open as Leon, so don't be afraid to come back here when you play as him.

Pouch 3 — Processing

When you're in the Basement of Rhodes Hill and trying to get all the joint plugs in order to bring power to the area, there's one particular spot that's way tucked away, after you've already used two joint plugs to light up your path. You'll have to crawl through some Silent Hill-esque industrial fans to get to Processing, but once you do, you'll notice a Forklift Key on the ground right next to a body.

Take it and use it on the forklift that's right next to you. Doing so will result in the doorway that was originally blocked finally being opened up; when you walk in, you'll see a sign that details the Processing Tank (some not-so-subtle foreshadowing for you), as well as your next Hip Pouch sitting right next to some debris.

You can't get the joint plug on this side, you'll have to come around, but you can pick up all the other loot in the area with the extra space.

All ARK Hip Pouches

Pouch 4 — Bioweapon Repository 05 (1/2)

When you get to ARK after you've already helped Leon, you'll finish out the main area as Grace, which means more inventory management and more chances to increase that inventory. Specifically, when you get to the Bioweapon Repository 05, you'll see that there are individual Umbrella containers, each working as its own little cubicle.

The first pod you find in the repository itself has a Hip Pouch that you can snag, just be sure to sneak in, since you don't want to get caught by the enemies here. That is, unless you have enough acid to keep them at bay.

Pouch 5 — Bioweapon Repository 05 (2/2)

Still in the Bioweapon Repository 05, but a little further in, you'll find the next Hip Pouch in yet another container. This is the final Hip Pouch of the game, meaning you have successfully maxxed out your inventory — now go out there and raise hell (and have fun).

That is, until you get to a repeat playthrough, and you'll have to find every single one of these Hip Pouches all over again. Thankfully, though, they don't move locations.
