Some seasonal goodies from Minister Screw on Mercenary Day in Borderlands 4.
The mandatory boss of the DLC is called The Stone Demon, and it rests at the far end of The Demon's Domain. This means that it will take a while for you to reach this boss, but that wait is worth it, as it drops some great loot and is overall a fun boss to fight.
Let's break down everything you need to know about The Stone Demon in Borderlands 4.
The Stone Demon Location
The Stone Demon is located at the far end of The Demon's Domain. This is the only map belonging to the DLC, and it is where you will spend the entirety of the time completing it.
Starting from the Demonhold fast travel point, you will follow the path north into the large chamber. From here, drop to the bottom of the chamber and head east. This will lead you down one of two paths that run north to another large chamber.
Here, you will continue to drop deeper into the cave, but you will want to stick to heading along the western route, as the eastern route here will lead to Bore-Tex.
Following the western route, you will eventually have the route split to run north and south. The southern route here will lead you to the Sturm & Drang boss fight, so you will want to head north.
You can now just follow the path to the north, and it will lead you directly to where The Stone Demon is waiting.
The Stone Demon Loot
The Stone Demon has the most loot drops of the DLC bosses, giving you a chance at receiving four dedicated drops. This boss can drop the following items:
|
Broken Wings |
SMG |
Fledgling — Shots fired from this gun shoot in a horizontal pattern and slow down as the trigger is held. |
|
Fleabag |
Assault Rifle |
Ringleader - Sticky projectiles track to the most recently hit target. |
|
Hopscotch |
Shield |
Shook — Whenever an armor segment breaks, the shield spawns a singularity. |
|
Handcannon |
Pistol |
Elemental Override - Damage is converted to elemental damage depending on the enemy's health bar type. |
It is important to note that three of these items are legendary, and one of them is pearlescent in rarity, with the pearlescent item being the Handcannon pistol. Speaking of this weapon, its ability allows its shots to be converted to elemental damage based on the enemy's health bar type, making it a very useful weapon all around.
Along with this, Broken Wings is a decent SMG that shoots in a horizontal pattern. This is similar to the T.K's Wave shotgun that fires its shots in a similar pattern.

Here's how to defeat Bloomreaper The Invincible in Borderlands 4.
Next up is Fleabag, which is a Torgue assault rifle that has tracking sticky grenades. These move to the most recently hit target, allowing you to continuously hit the same enemy.
Finally, Hopscotch is a legendary shield that spawns a singularity whenever one of the armor segments breaks. It is important to note that The Stone Demon can drop other legendary items, such as the Deity.
Tips for Fighting The Stone Demon
The Stone Demon is a pretty neat boss fight. The boss itself is an overly large Pangolin that moves pretty sporadically. Despite this, the boss is fairly easy to hit thanks to its large size.
The boss has a few AOE moves that can be difficult to dodge, with the first of these being a slam that sends out waves of dirt and rock in all directions. You will need to jump over these waves to avoid taking damage.
Another attack to watch out for is when the boss shoots lava rocks. This attack also shoots out in all directions, but is easily avoided by using your dodge to avoid the incoming rocks.
When you enter the fight, you will need to destroy the crystals on the boss's back to make it vulnerable. This is similar to all the other bosses in this DLC.
Once all the crystals are destroyed, you can freely damage the boss. I recommend an incendiary weapon since the boss has a red health bar.
When the boss has about a third of its health left, it will curl up into a ball, becoming invincible. During this time, Ripper enemies will deliver health to the boss. To prevent this, shoot the Rippers before they reach the boss.
After this phase is done, you can finish killing the boss using an incendiary weapon or your weapon of choice. It is important to note that the invincible effect that the boss gains does not happen in subsequent runs, but Rippers will still attempt to bring the boss health.
