What is a Dumpster Match in WWE 2K26

What is a Dumpster Match in WWE 2K26

It's honestly as simple as it sounds.

The goal of a Dumpster Match is to throw your opponent into a dumpster, which just happens to be sitting at ringside, and close the lid on them to win. Think of it like the iconic Casket Match, only you're putting them into a dumpster instead of a casket. Getting to that point, though, can be the tricky part.

It's important to note that while the only win condition is putting your opponent into a dumpster, you should treat a Dumpster Match like a fancier version of No Holds Barred.

This means that you're encouraged to use weapons like steel chairs, throw your opponent out of the ring, slam them through the announcer's table, and so on. After all, the point of a Dumpster Match is to humiliate your opponent, and there are ways you can do that aside from trapping them inside a smelly dumpster.

That's all fine and dandy, but how do you win yourself a Dumpster Match in WWE 2K26? Let me talk to ya.

As you'd expect, your opponent has no desire to be thrown into a dumpster, so they're going to put up a fight. Before even considering throwing your opponent into the dumpster, you'll need to weaken them enough so that they won't put up much of a fight.

There are no pinfalls, no submissions, and no disqualifications in a Dumpster Match. You're more than welcome to use anything and everything in your arsenal to defeat your opponent.

Once they're in a vulnerable state, it's time to toss them into a dumpster. When you're next to the dumpster, whether that's in the ring or outside, you'll get a prompt to open the dumpster. Once it's open, grab and carry your opponent to throw them into the dumpster. This can be done from in the ring and throwing them over the top rope, as well as picking them up at ringside and tossing them into the dumpster.

After you've thrown them into the dumpster, it's time to shut the lid. You'll be prompted with the mini-game you're familiar with from submission holds and the Inferno Match. Smash the button that's on the screen to fill your side of the meter in order to close the door and win the match.
