On the heels of a major leadership turnover and the reveal of its next-gen hardware initiative Project Helix, it's back to business as usual over at Xbox. Over on Xbox Wire, the company announced it will host an Xbox Partner Preview event on March 26, focusing on titles from third-party developers. The event will take place on Thursday, March 26, at 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT and will be livestreamed on YouTube and Twitch. Xbox has not yet revealed how long the broadcast will run.

Ahead of Thursday's event, Xbox has revealed a couple clues about what we can expect from the show: "During Xbox Partner Preview, you’ll get an in-depth look at Ryu Ga Gotoku’s new project, Stranger Than Heaven, an update on Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, plus new looks at The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, an action-RPG set in the world of James S.A. Corey’s legendary series. That’s not all we’ll have for you, with first looks and announcements from more great games coming to Xbox consoles, Xbox on PC, and Game Pass."

Xbox also noted the event would include "brand-new reveals" and updates to Game Pass.

The next game from the studio behind the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series, Stranger Than Heaven was first revealed under the codename "Project Century" during The Game Awards in December 2024. We got a more in-depth look at what RGG has been cooking during Summer Game Fest 2025, which revealed the official title and the moody early 20th-century setting. With plenty of fedoras, trench coats, and grizzled men blasting cigs, Stranger Than Heaven is oozing atmosphere. RGG hasn't yet revealed a release date for the game, so we might get that on Thursday. With Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties having launched on Feb. 12, the studio doesn't have any other games on the calendar at this time.

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn has already drawn favorable comparisons to the Mass Effect series. Back in July, Owlcat Games creative director Alexander Mishulin told Polygon that fans should expect to see some familiar faces in this new adventure: "We are not telling who, we are not telling how, but we can confirm that some of the actors from the series will be making [an] appearance in our game." Osiris Reborn also doesn't have a confirmed release date.

As for other games we might expect to see at the Xbox Partner Preview, Persona 4 Revival seems fairly likely. The long-rumored remake made its debut at the Xbox Games Showcase last June. Other than a quick glimpse at some familiar settings, we haven't gotten an in-depth look at the remake yet. This September will mark the 30th anniversary of the Persona series, and with no other confirmed 2026 releases on the calendar for Atlus at this time, this feels like the right time to peel back the curtain on Persona 4 Revival. Or perhaps Atlus will surprise everyone and finally reveal Persona 6 instead. Either way, we won't have to wait long to find out.
