As announced during a special 10th anniversary live-streaming event, KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! will officially get a fourth anime season.

The event, hosted by the voice actors of Kazuma, Megumin, Aqua, and Darkness, revealed many new initiatives meant to celebrate a decade of isekai hijinks. These include a new video game for PC and mobile coming out in 2026; an exposition of original works that will take place in the UDX Building in Akihabara, Tokyo; an audio drama written by the author of the light novels, Akatsuki Natsume; and a special re-run of past episodes that will air on YouTube for a limited time. A 10th anniversary key visual was also revealed.

The news fans were most waiting for, however, was an announcement regarding the fourth season of the anime, which is now confirmed to be in production. There is no info, however, on when season 4 of KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! will air. While the third season was released in 2024, it's hard to predict when the next season will come, as season 2 aired back in 2017. Hopefully, fans of KonoSuba will not have to suffer that long again. It will be interesting to see if studio Drive will come back to produce after taking the reins from Deen for season three. Still, 2026 will already be a great year for isekai fans, with three other major series airing, so the wait won't be as excruciating.

KonoSuba is a hugely popular isekai based on the light novel series written by Akatsuki Natsume and illustrated by Mishima Kurone. It originally stood out in the crowded genre thanks to its upbeat humor and subversion of tropes. When Kazuma Satou gets reincarnated in another world, he has no intention of playing the hero and facing the Demon Lord. Instead, after dragging the airheaded goddess Aqua with him, he'll form a party of misfits whose priority is living a comfortable life while (unsuccessfully) staying out of trouble.
